WRESTLER OF THE WEEK
For the week of February1st -6th
WOW- Troy Glasko.
Troy wrestled an outstanding NOC tournament in route to his Third Place finish. His record for the tournament was 4-1. His only loss was a 4-2 semifinal match to Elyria's Zach Goins, the eventual Champion and ranked #2 in the state. Troy earned a pin, a technical fall, and two decisions, including a 12-5 route over 4th ranked Darren Rhodes of Nordonia in the consolation finals. Way to go Troy!!!
For the week of January 19
Mike Haumesser is this week WOW. Mike won the Narrah Graham Tournament at Chardon this past weekend. This is Mike's first Varsity Tournament Championship. Mike defeated the state ranked wrestler, J.C. Giffin (22-4), of Fairport Harbor by pin in the semifinals and defeated Sean Naylor(8-1)from Painesville Harvey by pin in the finals. Awesome job Mike!!! |

COACH'S CORNER
This weekend we travel to Midpark for the Sectional Tournament. This is the first stop on the road to the State Tournament. Wrestling starts at 6pm Friday night(please note this is the correct time not 4pm). Who will qualify for districts? It is time to see how all the hard work and dedication our wrestlers have put in will pay off.
